Pictures you see by holding them to the light
A lithophane looks like a plain, textured panel until you hold it up to a light, and then the picture appears. I wrote a Python program that takes an image, turns its light and dark areas into a printable shape, and exports the result as an STL file, so any picture can go straight to the 3D printer.
